Amirdrassil Raid Guide

This Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope guide will help you navigate through the new raid that is being added in patch 10.2 of World of Warcraft. Here you will find information about new bosses, loot, and encounters in this new raid, and a lot more.

Season 3 of Dragonflight brings a new raid – Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope. It consists of 9 brand-new bosses that will present a substantial challenge to any player. Confront Druids of the Flame and Fyrakk the Blazing in a new region just north of the new World Tree. Raid is scheduled to release on November 14, 2023.

Amirdrassil Release Schedule

The raid itself is releasing on November 14th, opening in Normal, Heroic and Mythic difficulties at once. However, as usual, the entire raid will not be accessible immediately from the get-go in LFR. Here we have compiled a schedule at which various parts of the raid will become open to the public.

LFR Raid Schedule:

  • week of November 14 - Wing 1: Incarnate's Wake (Gnarlroot, Igira the Cruel, Smolderon);
  • week of November 21 - Wing 2: Molten Incuson (Volrocoss, Larodar);
  • week of November 28 - Wing 3: The Viridian Weave (Council of Dreams, Nymue);
  • week of December 5 - Wing 4: Fate of Amirdrassil (Tindral Sageswift, Fyrakk).

How to find Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope

This new raid can be found on the North side of Emerald Dream. Precise coordinates are 48.46, 10.35. The closest flight path is Wellspring Overlook Flight Path, in case you want to catch a ride instead of traveling there yourself.

Amirdrassil Bosses

Time to take a look at the main attraction of the raid – bosses! There are 9 bosses in total and we have prepared a list with all of them.

Each of these formidable enemies presents a new and unique challenge that will reward players with amazing gear, as well as achievements, titles, and even mounts.

Amirdrassil Mounts

Another type of extremely desired type of loot for any raider is mounts. Some collectors would raid the same instance hundreds of times to get a single mount and expand their collection. Amirdrassil has three mounts. One is a standalone mount dragonriding mount, another is a Drakewatcher Manuscript for you Renewed Protodrake that will allow it to look like the final boss of the raid – Fyrakk the Blazing, and the final is a ground mount.

You can get all three of these mounts early and earn the respect of players around you with our help! You can buy any of these mounts (or all of them!) here.

Amirdrassil Raid Tier Sets

As usual, many players will strive to get some of the tier pieces from a new raid. While Hands, Shoulders, Head, Chest, and legs count towards the tier bonus, other pieces will complete the look and are desirable for cosmetic purposes.

Here are the tier sets from Amirdrassil, the Dreams Hope:

Tier set bonuses will be activated when at least 2 pieces of gear are equipped. The second bonus will be activated when 4 of them are on.

Amirdrassil Achievements

Another thing to get excited about in this new raid is new achievements! As usual, there are plenty of them, and some of them are difficulty-specific. Here we have collected some of the more interesting achievements to complete apart from the standard boss-kill achievements and such.

  • Ducks in a Row — Recruit Sergeant Quackers before putting an end to the Dream Council.
  • Cruelty Free – Free Scorch Crickets and then defeat Ingra on a Normal Difficulty or higher.
  • Meaner Pastures – Ignite 8 Harmless Blossoms in Gnarlroot fight on Normal or higher.
  • Don't Let the Doe Hit You On The Way Out – Defeat Larodar, Keeper of the Flame with Ivy extinguished and alive in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope on Normal difficulty or higher.
  • Whelp, I'm Lost – Defeat Tindral Sageswift after rescuing 6 Lost Whelps in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope on Normal difficulty or higher.
  • Swog Champion – Wait for Volcoross to consume at least 30 Sizzling Swoggers before killing him on Normal difficulty or above.
  • Haven't We Done This Before? – Use all 6 runes of the Firelord to defeat Smolderon on Normal or higher.
  • Memories of Teldrassil – Collect all six memories of Amirdrassil and return them to its heart before defeating Fyrakk on Normal or higher.
  • A Dream Within a Dream – Defeat Nymue by collecting 5 Dream Projections on Normal difficulty or above.

Amirdrassil Raid Tactics

Each boss from Amirdrassil requires its own unique tactics to take down. We will break down each boss fight into key steps, breaking it down by each role in the raid. Let’s start with discussing the first boss of this raid – Gnarlroot.

Gnarlroot

The first boss of this raid is this esteemed guardian who used to protect the Emerald Dream but now has been corrupted by flames.

Tanks:

  1. Be cautious of Dreadfire Barrage since it inflicts significant damage and increases the harm from Shadowflame.
  2. Act swiftly when dealing with Tainted Lashers right after they release Tainted Bloom.
  3. If you have the Ember-Charred status, you can ignite Doom Roots.

DPS:

  1. If you're targeted by Controlled Burn, stand near inactive Tainted Lashers to wake them up.
  2. People with the Ember-Charred brand can ignite Doom Roots.
  3. Gnarlroot becomes extra susceptible and takes double damage when under the influence of Uprooted Agony.

Healers:

  1. Tortured Scream inflicts significant damage to the entire raid.
  2. When Gnarlroot employs Potent Fertilization, it causes growing damage to all participants.
  3. Each time Uprooted Agony is removed, Gnarlroot accumulates an Uprooted Agony stack.

Igira the Cruel

Igira uses her Blistering Spears to draw energy from her foes and convert their torment into power. When she accumulates maximum energy, she triggers Marked for Torment, igniting different zones. Depending on the zone chosen by players, Igira's weapons transform and become more potent.

Tanks:

  1. When dealing with Shared Agony, be aware that Igira's close-combat strikes affect the nearest opponent afterward.

DPS:

  1. The longer you're affected by Blistering Spear, the more torment Igira accumulates.

Healers:

  1. Watch out for those marked by Heart Stopper, as they can explode when the aura naturally expires.
  2. Every Harvest of Screams stack increases Igira's damage output.

Volcoross

Volcoross annihilates everything in his way with his formidable Scorchtail Crash. When his energy reaches 100, a Lava Serpent emerges from molten lava, drenching the battlefield with the scorching Flood of the Firelands.

Tanks:

  1. Cataclysm Jaws inflicts even more damage when combined with Molten Venom.
  2. When the energy reaches the maximum, Flood of the Firelands shoots two large molten projectiles that need to be intercepted to prevent overwhelming the arena.
  3. Stay clear of Scorchtail Crash, as it deals deadly blows to anyone directly beneath it.

DPS:

  1. Coiling Flames gradually increases its damage around a player and then targets a new victim.
  2. At full energy, Flood of the Firelands releases two lava globs that can cover the arena unless stopped.
  3. Avoid the devastating impact of the Scorchtail Crash.

Healers:

  1. Keep an eye on those suffering from the escalating damage caused by Coiling Flames.
  2. When energy is at its peak, make sure players intercept the two molten splashes from Flood of the Firelands to protect the battleground.
  3. Watch out for those in danger from the dangerous Scorchtail Crash.

Council of Dreams

The Council of Dreams consists of three notable members: werebear Urctos, the dryad Aerwynn, and a fairy dragon Pip. When their energy reaches 100, each council member unleashes their unique abilities: Blind Rage, Constricting Thicket, and Song of the Dragon. If a member's health drops to a critical level, they can invoke Rebirth from the Dream, but this fails if their fellow council members are similarly weakened.

Tanks:

  1. Watch out for Urctos' Agonizing Claws, which deal Physical damage and increase vulnerability to subsequent Agonizing Claws.
  2. The effect of Urctos' Barreling Charge weakens as more participants share the force, which also disrupts Aerwynn's Constricting Thicket.
  3. If Pip's Song of the Dragon is not countered, it leads to the activation of Captivating Finale, causing Nature damage.

DPS:

  1. Dispel Polymorph Bomb, but be aware that it affects nearby players and also influences Urctos during his Blind Rage.
  2. Weaken the strength of Urctos' Barreling Charge by having multiple players absorb it while also countering Aerwynn's Constricting Thicket.
  3. Avoid the consequences of Pip's Song of the Dragon to stop Captivating Finale from occurring.

Healers:

  1. Exercise caution when dispelling Polymorph Bomb, as it can affect nearby players and interfere with Urctos during his Blind Rage.
  2. Counteract Pip's Song of the Dragon to prevent Captivating Finale.
  3. Urctos' Agonizing Claws inflict substantial Physical damage.

Larodar, Keeper of the Flame

PHASE 1

The boss summons 3 aggressive Tree Ents. Defeat them to make them allies, and then healers can restore them to full health. Once they're healed, they charge the central Seed of Life. Make sure to keep the boss away from the ents for quick healing. Interact with the charged Seed to link up to 3 players. This connection allows them to clear fire pools.

A Scorching Root spider targets a player. Eliminate it, heal it, and it transforms into a protective bush. During Raging Inferno, staying inside the bush reduces damage by 90%. The boss pushes the tank, and the damage is lessened with increased distance. On Heroic difficulty, this also reduces damage to the raid. The boss's charge creates fire pools.

INTERMISSION

When the boss's health drops to 40%, be ready for Consuming Flame. Use defensive abilities and strong healing for the next 16 seconds.

PHASE 2

Absorb the spawning Ember circles and avoid the orbs that land. Players marked with a circling arrow (Flash Fire) should move away from the raid. Healers need to dispel their shield within 8 seconds, or they will be stunned for 20 seconds. The boss spawns numerous adds that move toward him. Control and stagger their kills to manage raid damage, giving healers time to heal the group.

Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle

Tanks:

  1. Be vigilant against Nymue's Threaded Blast, as it packs a punch. Use your cooldowns strategically to withstand it.
  2. When afflicted with Weaver's Burden, move away from the team before it expires to reduce the damage they take.

DPS:

  1. Your primary target should be the Cycle Wardens as they appear. Keep them spaced out to minimize the impact of the Protector's Shroud.
  2. Deal with Violent Flora to make use of the advantageous Inflorescence effect.

Healers:

  1. Pay close attention during the Viridian Rain; everyone will require your healing.
  2. Keep an eye on those affected by Drowsy Expulsion. They are susceptible to increased damage, so be watchful and ready to heal them.

Smolderon

Tanks:

  1. Lava Geysers create large sections of Smoldering Ground, causing substantial damage.
  2. If you become the target of Brand of Damnation, it not only reduces your healing capabilities significantly but also designates you as a potential source of Living Flames.
  3. Collecting Living Flames enhances both your damage output and your ability to heal (only on LFR and Normal difficulties).

DPS:

  1. When you receive the Brand of Damnation, it reduces your healing abilities but marks you as a source of Living Flames.
  2. Utilizing Living Flames enhances your damage potential.
  3. Being near allies while Overheating endangers them.

Healers:

  1. Players with Blazing Soul activate Blistering Heat, causing severe raid-wide damage.
  2. Being marked with the Brand of Damnation imposes a significant healing limitation but designates you as a source of Living Flames.
  3. Channeling Living Flames enhances both your healing and damage capabilities.

Tindral Sageswift, Seer of the Flame

Tindral, a shapeshifting master, takes on various Druid forms to confront players.

Tanks:

  1. Tindral's attacks cause a burning sensation with Searing Wrath.
  2. He also grows Blazing Mushrooms that explode, dealing lethal damage (applies to Raid Finder, Heroic, and Normal difficulties).

DPS:

  1. Tindral protects himself with an absorbent barrier when channeling Supernova.
  2. Mass Entanglement ensnares players, requiring them to break free from the roots.
  3. Dispersing Fiery Growth leads to the creation of Scorching Ground.

Healers:

  1. Destroying Fiery Growth generates Scorching Ground.
  2. In his Treant form, Tindral inflicts players with Suppressive Ember, significantly impeding healing.

Fyrakk the Blazing

Finally, the main star of the show – Fyrakk the Blazing, is the final boss of Amirdrassil the Dream’s Hope.

Tanks:

  1. Each time Fyrakk strikes a player while they are affected by the Mark of Fyr'alath, it inflicts significant shadowflame damage.

DPS:

  1. Raging Flames, when linked to Amirdrassil's heart through Wildfire, set the ancient tree, Amirdrassil, on fire.

Healers:

  1. When the portal is open, Dream Rend inflicts profound Shadowflame damage on all participants.
  2. Fyrakk periodically sets combatants on fire.

As you can see fighting these ferocious bosses can prove to be extremely challenging, especially for players who simply want the rewards or to catch up with their friends and guildies without having enough time to do so. However, do not worry, we’ve got you covered! You can get all of the Amirdrassil bosses done on any difficulty level by purchasing our services here.

Season 3 Gear Upgrades

The gear upgrading system will remain largely unchanged from the previous season going forward into the next season. Below you can find a sheet that details the upgrading system in all of its details as described by members of the WoW community.

What ilvl is Required to Raid Amirdrassil?

One of the questions that many newcomers and returning players will be curious about is the ilvl that is acceptable to start applying for Amirdrassil raiding groups. Here we have prepared a useful list that will help you navigate through this topic. BLOG7

  • LFR – 441-450 ilvl;
  • Normal – 454-463 ilvl;
  • Heroic – 467-476 ilvl;
  • Mythic – 480-489 ilvl.

As you can see, gear that was very relevant in the previous season is now only viable for LFR. However, with various catch-up mechanics, it shouldn’t be difficult to get gear to start raiding. However, if finding a proper group presents a challenge, we offer our boosting services where you can face new bosses with a team of professional players by your side. You can find it here.

Amirdrassil Legendary Weapon

Death Knights, Paladins, and Warriors rejoice! A new two-handed strength-based legendary weapon is being added to the game. While we don’t have enough information about obtaining it at this moment, we know that it will be called Fyr’alath the Dream Renderer and will be obtained from Amirdrassil’s final boss Fyrakk the Blazing. It is an axe that Fyrakk himself wields.

It will be a very desirable weapon for those three classes, no doubt. However, there might be a quest line involved in obtaining it, which might not be too easy.

Amirdrassil Raid Gear

If you’ve made it all the way to this part of the guide, you might be interested in all the gear that the bosses will drop after the fight is over. We have divided all of the loot into different sections based on the type of armor you get.

Amirdrassil Very Rare Drops

If you are curious about which loot out of all of the gear mentioned earlier will be the most valuable in the upcoming update, we have prepared a list of the most desired items that Amirdrassil has to offer.

Keep in mind that these items don’t take up loot slots when they drop, meaning that they can drop on top of what has already been looted from the boss.

As you can see there is a lot to love about this new raid. All the gear, achievements, and mounts that can be obtained here are enough to excite even the most veteran players.

Raid Summary

Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope is the third raid in Dragonflight and continues its story by introducing a new main villain – Fyrakk the Blazing. He and Druids of the Flame have infiltrated Emerald Dream to engulf Azeroth in endless flames by using the tree’s powers. It is our job to stop him and save Azeroth once again.

However, if you don’t have enough time to obtain some of these things, keep in mind that there is always a professional team ready to help you out. You can buy all of the things mentioned so far in this guide here at Boosthive.
