As the war effort progresses, players can earn Commendation Signets to boost their faction reputation and receive Ahn'Qiraj War Effort Supplies containing valuable loot. Once the War Effort concludes on November 29, the battle for Ahn’Qiraj officially begins. The Temple of Ahn’Qiraj is a 20-player raid located in Silithus where each boss features intricate mechanics and demands teamwork and coordination, while Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj is another raid in the same location, but only for 10 players. However, it is still just as challenging as the 20 player one!

In these raids, players can opt into the "Descent into Madness" system to earn extra rewards by increasing boss difficulty. Before each boss, you can choose to challenge yourself for a chance at bonus loot, with a limited number of attempts. Success rewards the raid with bonus chests, which can be looted or left behind for the next boss. Checkpoints ensure some bonus loot is earned, but the rewards are typically cosmetic and not more powerful than regular drops.
