What is Path of Exile 2 Defiance of Destiny

Path of Exile 2 Defiance of Destiny is a unique Jade Amulet that recovers a percentage of your missing Life the instant before an enemy hit lands. This pre-emptive recovery can turn a hit that would otherwise nearly kill you into a survivable dent, especially on builds with a large missing-Life pool.

The Defiance of Destiny Jade Amulet also adds Strength, Life, and Mana Regeneration on top of its base Dexterity implicit.

How to Get PoE 2 Defiance of Destiny

Defiance of Destiny drops from Rare monsters and bosses in maps of any rarity, and it has no special content gate. It is also chanceable from its Jade Amulet base with an Orb of Chance.

Because it is one of the cheaper chase amulets in the game, most players simply buy it outright rather than farm for it.

How to Use PoE 2 Defiance of Destiny

Defiance of Destiny works best on builds that already run a large Life pool, since the recovery is a percentage of missing Life. It does the most good when there is a lot of missing Life to recover. Because the heal is a fixed amount added just before the hit lands, it does not scale with the hit's damage. This means it cannot save you from a genuine one-shot. It is most valuable for surviving a string of smaller hits or an unexpected burst that would otherwise chip you down.

Pair it with other Life-recovery or Life-regeneration sources so the pre-emptive recovery stacks with your other defensive layers rather than being your only line of defense.

Boosthive will help you assemble a full sustain-focused PoE 2 Build around it, so you spend your time playing instead of grinding maps for the drop.
