Types of Achievements in Overwatch

Completing a specific requirement in Overwatch rewards an achievement and a corresponding spray. Sprays from the character achievement category can only be used by the characters for whom the spray has been unlocked, while sprays from map, event, and mode challenges can be used without restrictions. Here are the groups into which sprays in OW are divided:

• General – This category includes achievements that can be obtained for leveling up your Battle Pass, completing a kill streak, playing in a party with a friend, and other achievements that are not tied to a map or character.
• Hero – For each of the Tank, Support, and Damage role heroes, there are 2 achievements - Pixel Hero and Cutie Hero. Requirements can be tied to the hero's ultimate or to complex combinations of abilities.
• Maps (Modes)  – Achievements require victories on a certain type of maps, killing selected enemies in different game modes.
• Events –  For each annual event (Summer Games, Halloween Terror, and Winter Wonderland), there are a number of achievements tied to event PvE missions like Junkenstein's Revenge, or special modes like Snowball Deathmatch or Lucioball.
