Types of Currencies in Last Epoch

To upgrade your build by purchasing specific gear or upgrade your Faction rank, you’ll need pretty extensive amounts of currency. The three primary types of currency you’ll encounter in the game are:

Gold – the main currency in the game. It is used for purchasing items, gambling, crafting and trading. It is essential to have plenty of Gold to be able to progress in the game, as it allows you to upgrade your gear, get essential crafting materials or test your luck with random item rolls.
Favor – a crucial in-game currency that allows you to unlock various account-wide benefits. It serves as Faction currency, which you can use to upgrade your rank with one of the Factions – the Circle of Fortune or the Merchant's Guild. Upgrading the Faction rank allows you to customize prophecies, buy and sell items for the endgame builds.
Memory Amber – a currency exclusive to The Woven Faction that can be used to purchase Woven Echoes. Spending your Memory Amber also increases your rank with The Woven, which makes it crucial in terms of rising through The Woven ranks.

All of these currencies are crucial for your character progression. Having a lack of one of them can result in you getting stuck in the content you've already done hundreds of times before. And with how cruel drop rates can be, this situation may last for long.
